K'rali
Richly sleek curls, short-cut and golden, coyly brush pale cheeks above stubborn set of square jaw. High cheekbones are scaffolding to forceful emerald gaze, gold-spackled; determined nose softens down to luminous smile with easy familiarity. She bears increasing age with the same supple sang-froid as ever, and indeed the slight laugh lines around her eyes temper her smile with benevolence. More slender than rounded, more lean than voluptuous; wiry muscle and long litheness banish womanly curves, and catlike swiftness smothers feminine grace.
Welcome to K'rali's world. She's a character of mine on Dragonsfire MOO, a Pern-based writing game that I frequent--and therefore not real. Just wanted to make that perfectly plain.
The picture at left is Leeanna Walsman, an Australian actress who strikes me as quite similar to K'rali in looks. On top of that, she will be playing a bounty hunter on the upcoming Star Wars: Episode II, which is something K'rali would probably be reeaaal good at :)

What's up with K'rali?
The baby Kalrania was lucky enough to be left in a ditch as an infant (for whatever reason). She was even luckier to be picked up by a small, rather trashy trading clan and adopted by its head, Veran, thus being saved from certain death by exposure. At sixteen or seventeen, she entered the Harper Hall and worked through apprenticeship for four Turns. Just after receiving her journeyman's knot, she was Searched for Katrineth's Fort Weyr clutch and met up with the Matchless Icecap-Blue Rhioth. After graduation, she was tapped into Sirocco Wing. K'rali served as Zephre's Wingsecond in Sirocco for a Turn or two, but returned to her wingrider position when clutchmate K'rill took on the Wingleader knot. An eventful and outdoorsy childhood amongst a herd of less-than-delicate bachelors instilled certain feral qualities in K'rali, and her largely unsuccessful flings have lent her a pessimism and wariness towards the idea of romance. She was lucky enough to find her biological sister (Maedrydd-M'ydd, brown Seienth's rider of Ista Weyr), who had been raised by an aunt after their parents died. She has one son, Veran, and one daughter by K'rill, bronze Llynth's rider.
